Description de la carte tirée de The Lost Tarot : « [Dans Les Amoureux,]… Contre un paysage marin éclatant, un bateau en bois naufragé, ses planches affaissées et gorgées d’eau. Les jambes d’une femme s’étalaient sur la proue, les pieds pâles submergés et les orteils grignotés par des poissons argentés. Son ventre enceint formait une sphère monstrueuse deux fois plus grande que l’embarcation qui coulait. Sa chair transparente révélait des jumeaux fœtus enroulés l’un autour de l’autre. »

En avril dernier, au Artist Project, j’ai rencontré Sarah Henstra, l’auteure du livre « The Lost Tarot ». Il se trouve que l’une de mes œuvres était L’IMPÉRATRICE que j’ai créée à partir de la carte de tarot originale du jeu de ma mère. Alors j’ai dit OUI tout de suite quand elle m’a demandé si je serais intéressée à participer au projet autour des cartes de tarot décrites dans son livre.

Card description from The Lost Tarot:
« [In The Lovers,]…Against a vivid seascape a wooden boat foundered, its boards sagging and waterlogged. A woman’s legs splayed out over the bow, the pale feet submerged and the toes being nibbled by silvery fish. Her pregnant belly made a monstrous sphere twice the size of the sinking vessel. Her transparent flesh revealed twin fetuses curled around each other.”

Last April at The Artist Project I met Sarah Henstra the author of the book « The lost tarot ». It so happened one of my work was THE EMPRESS that I created from the original tarot card from my mother’s deck. So I said YES right away when she asked if I would be interested in participating in the project around the tarot cards described in her book.
